Custom Costumes Designed with Purpose, Movement, and Care.
Custom costume design at Broken Arrow is thoughtful, movement-driven, and built around the needs of real dancers and real performances. Whether you are planning a solo, duo, trio, or select semi-custom project, the process begins with a clear inquiry so we can understand your vision, timeline, and next steps.
Custom Costume Options for Every Performance
Fully Custom Costumes
Our fully custom costumes are designed from the ground up and tailored specifically to your dancer and performance. From fabric selection and design details to construction and finishing touches, every element is thoughtfully created to bring your vision to life. Custom designs may include rhinestones, appliqués, specialty fabrics, and other personalized embellishments based on the needs of the project.
Semi-Custom Costumes
Our semi-custom option begins with an existing costume base that is customized to create a more unique look. This may include adding rhinestones, appliqués, decorative details, or making alterations to improve fit, style, or stage presence. Semi-custom designs offer a more streamlined option while still providing a personalized touch for your dancer.
What to Expect from Your Custom Costume Experience
At Broken Arrow, our custom dance costume process is designed to be clear, collaborative, and tailored to each dancer’s performance. We specialize in custom dance costumes for solos, duos, and trios, working closely with dancers, parents, and studios to bring each vision to life. Every project begins with a detailed inquiry, allowing us to understand your style, music, choreography, and timeline before moving into the design phase. From initial concept to final fitting, each costume is thoughtfully created to support movement, comfort, and stage presence.
Serving dancers in Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Mesa, and across the East Valley, we focus on creating high-quality, performance-ready pieces that feel as good as they look. Our dance costume design process emphasizes communication, intentional material selection, and real-world functionality, so dancers can move with confidence on stage. Whether you are preparing for competition season or a special performance, Broken Arrow offers a more personalized approach to custom dance costumes built around your needs.

Important Information
-
All costumes must be approved by your choreographer, studio owner, or director before sewing begins. Once the design is approved, I will provide an estimated completion date. Most custom and semi-custom designs take approximately 10–12 weeks from the design approval stage, so prompt communication helps keep the process moving smoothly.
-
A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot. This deposit is fully refundable until the design is approved. Once sewing begins, refunds are no longer available.
Payment may be completed by credit/debit card through a secure payment link or in-person card reader, or by Zelle at @brokenarrow. To request a payment link, please DM us on Instagram or email brokenarrowdancewear@gmail.com. Your reservation is confirmed once payment is received.

Custom and semi-custom designs include up to two fittings or alterations. Additional alteration requests may be approved based on availability and begin at $25+.
